Earlier this year I posted about the exceptional, if not lengthy, track from Youth Lagoon ‘Dropla’- a big headphones/ hangover moment of the year for a lot of people.
We’re now lucky enough to have the whole record from 22-year-old Trevor Powers, and as Dropla would have had us guess, it is deep, rich, gorgeous, effortlessly flowing, and perfect for listening to all summer long.
The tracks are long and meandering and meaningful, good luck not getting totally lost in this album.

I mean this is just totally lovely. Smoooooth electro-soul running seamlessly under Mike Milosh’s honey tones (which YES OK sound a lot like Sade but let’s all stop talking about it already).
Worryingly, I keep blogging of late about music that features the sax. Is the sax back? I don’t know what’s happening but I think I’m fine with it.
